Naropa University Archives

This database contains descriptive finding aids for all processed materials held by the Naropa University Archives. A finding aid is a guide outlining the arrangement of the collection that helps facilitate its access and use.

Arrangement and description of Naropa University's historic records, including installation and configuration of this database, was made possible through a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC).

Currently, findings aids for over 75 processed collections have been created and are available in the database. Findings aids for other collections will be made available as the collections are processed.

The database searches the descriptive information about each collection within each finding aid. Collections are subdivided into sets such as series, boxes, and folders. Since boxes and folders can contain numerous items, the majority of which are not described at an item level in the finding aids, the database is most beneficial as a tool to gain knowledge about the nature, scope, and extent of the collections.

The Naropa University Archives is open for research year-round, Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please contact the Archives by using the email form at the bottom of this page for further details or to arrange an appointment.
